Fantastic place with great people

Great stay, combines cosiness and style. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Beautiful chateau right next to the Rhine river - already looking forward to our next stay there.

Unfortunately, the hotel has had its best days. The ambience is great and it was definitely very nice once. But: unfortunately there is a lack of cleanliness and maintenance today. The towels were stained, the room dusty, the curtains filthy and peppered with dead flies. Open tile joints on the bathtub, a broken shower rod and a chipboard on the corridor floor in front of a neighboring room door (simply laid down and wobbly), as well as the open restaurant construction site that you have to cross at breakfast are a shame. In the lobby, when we sat down in the beautiful baroque armchair, we had the entire armrest in our hands (it was probably broken out at some point and only put back on). When we addressed all of these points on departure, the front desk reacted dismissive and indifferent. To be fair, the positive bright spots: The service was super good, friendly and tried hard, the breakfast was very good (plentiful and tasty), the location is great, the garden is beautiful, lots of free parking spaces in front of the door. With a little skill, the old charm would be very easy to revive. In the current state, the overnight stay is not worth the price of the room, which is therefore very high. Too bad.

Boutique hotel - very special in the historical building. The hotel now has a guest house with brand new rooms - in the middle of the city. Still very quiet. Room service in the great dinner. Also recommended: is the wine selection.

A great hotel on the Rhine, we were here for meetings. In the Rheinsaal (Meetingroom) we could all sit together and work well. We also had lunch here twice and once in the evening and the food was delicious. The rooms are also very clean and well maintained. The only negative points are that the highway is relatively audible from the hotel, we can also imagine that in summer it gets relatively hot without air conditioning in the rooms.

First night the room smelled of sewage and the excuse was that the leaves were blocking the pipes. Of course to open the window was not possible as it was beside a very busy road. Then after complaining at checkout they accused my wife of inventing something to try and get a discount. Honestly with dishonest businesses like this they should please sell up and do something useful because as a hotelier they don't cut it....

The Hotel Kronenschlösschen offers a lot that you can also find in (few) other destinations: First-class cuisine, very good staff, nice rooms, good prices. But one thing is outstanding: the quality of the beds !!! Seriously, most of the time we spend in a hotel room is sleeping. And how important is it to wake up well rested? Very important! But unfortunately you don't see that online ... Therefore I would like to confirm with a big compliment to the Hotel Kronenschlösschen that the beds are excellent. And in combination with the rest simply first class!

To be allowed to eat there you have to be dressed otherwise they are full ...

We had an emergency from 07/30 to 07/31 in which we did not reach our planned accommodation {WE were cycling on the Rhine.} At approx. 11 pm could Mr. Judge help us although the well-attended house was fully booked, he could help us anyway. Could struggle after a few Help us out of an emergency with a really great room .. Thank you again for that ....

The Kronenschlösschen is beautiful with the old trees, excellent cuisine and very attentive staff. Sympathetic boss, you can tell she loves her job. Keep it up: 0) Really feel good and relax.

Far from the maddening crowds. Yes that's it. Almost like visiting a friend's country house friend. Certainly not a haven for the few vegans and vegetarians among us. Since this gem fails to reach the next level gastronomically. That is probably the whole German problem and that of its large neighbors printed on a 2-page menu.

An excellent restaurant, wonderful atmosphere, very excellent and attentive service! All in all a special experience that you absolutely have to treat yourself to. Our hotel room was very cozy, if not very big.

Great place, good food.

Fantastic. We didn't eat lunch .. But from the other guests it looked magnificent. We had tea and cake. The cake was amazing and fresh. The tea delicious and the service perfect. I would recommend for romantics, business events or special occasions. I could easily fall in love with this place.

Worst food i've ever seen. Couldn't eat anything.

The location was perfect and the food was tasty

Ideally situated in the very of Rheinland. Easy access an free parking. The room,while of modest size was beautifully designed and furnished. The staff was courteous and very eager to assist and please. We did not take the breakfast at the extra charge. However, we're enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the bistro. The raspberry sorbet was unbelievable.

The room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. Excellent wine list with some interesting wines offered by the glass. Located on the banks of the Rhine with easy access to walking/cycling routes or to the nearby cities of Mainz, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt from the nearby train station. Perhaps one drawback is that the main road passes between the hotel and the river. It can be quite busy and, with a room at the front of the property, I found the traffic noise slightly bothersome, even with the double glazed windows closed. OK for one night, but if I was staying for longer, I would ask for a room on the other side of the hotel.

Nice food, pleasant atmosphere inside, beautiful terrace and garden...

This hotel scores on all fronts: location, room, service and food. The personal is very friendly. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. The food is excellent, therefore I would not have minded a bigger portion of the excellent oxtail ravioli. Just beware: they like to seat you outside on the nice terras even when the weather does really support that decision. Up to you to change that proposal.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Kronenschlösschen. The room was beautiful, the food fantastic, and the staff was very helpful and kind. We would certainly stay there again!

Really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. The room was excellent as it was a good size, nice furniture, comfortable bed and nice details. For example, the Bose radio, toiletries, writing desk, lights in the wardrobe and even a bathroom scale! Had good sleep for both nights and the breakfast was excellent with some healthy options and delicious breads. Overall it was an excellent stay at the hotel.
